Summer Science Workshop for Children Crickets—Hands On

Summer Science Workshop for Children Crickets—Hands On Saturday, July 23, 2011 2:00 PM

The Cricket Science Workshop took place at the Center at Maple Grove Cemetery. Due to the high heat we went indoors and inside the Center, and a delightful time was had by all 27 participants. There was certainly a lot of learning that went on at this event. The children learned all about the habitat of the cricket and had many hands on activities to engage in. There were many budding scientists who came to this event. The other animal that showed up was a Lizard! The workshop was handled by APEC (Alley Pond Environmental Center). Children who attended were given a certificate of participation. Special thanks to Board member Helen Day who helped out as well as three Aquinas student volunteers!
